)Have experienced performing BNCT in at least five irradiation cases as a primary NCT physician for clinical studies and clinical tests (including trials) using KUR, JRR4, or accelerator-based neutron sources (for corporate trials, have participated proactively as a principal investigator in treatment planning and patient follow-up).
)Or, have been listed in the application form for neutron irradiation as an attending physician or a member of an attending physician group under the guidance of the above-mentioned JSNCT-certified physicians, have been present at the scene of neutron irradiation of at least five cases, and have been independently involved in the follow-up of patients.
)In addition to 2) and 3), have taken the written examination and the interview examination as required by the Committee, and have been deemed suitable as a JSNCT-certified physician.
)Have been qualified as a radiation therapy specialist. Or, have been certified/qualified by academic societies as a specialist of various tumor tissues and sites, and are in an environment where the cooperation of radiation oncologists (specialists) at affiliated facilities can be obtained when performing irradiation. In this context, “cooperation” refers to active participation and advice regarding inclusion in a clinical study, trial, etc., actual irradiation, and follow-up.
)Certified physicians are required to participate in workshops organized by JSNCT’s NCT medical physicist, protocol standardization, and other working groups, once before acquiring certification, and once every five years after acquiring certification. If, for any reason, it is not possible to participate in these workshops, an arrangement should be made separately to take a course(s) upon consultation with the person in charge of each working group.
)Certified physicians are required to participate in academic conferences twice during the five-year period immediately following certification. Failure to do so may result in a warning, and failure to comply despite two warnings shall result in the revocation of their certification status.
